No one owns your soul.
Your soul is your divine birthright — an eternal light, untouched, infinite, and sourced directly from the divine. It cannot be sold, traded, borrowed, or cursed — because it was never truly yours to give away in the first place. Yet, throughout history and into modern times, belief systems, rituals, contracts, and fear have led many to think otherwise.
The Illusion of Selling Your Soul
Your soul was never on the market.
Not a religion. Not a government. Not a system. Not a contract. And certainly not money can “own your soul”. But belief is powerful and what people often give away isn’t the soul itself, but something just as critical: their free will.
When you surrender your power to choose, to believe, to act — you give away the driver’s seat of your experience. You are making a choice using your free will to have that belief, or to create an action. Giving away your free-will (known as selling your soul) can look like signing a contract, being apart of a ritual, submitting to fear-based systems, or even working at large corporations like Hollywood or otherwise, that symbolically “own” your energy.
But make no mistake — the soul itself cannot be touched.
The Golden Lake: A Cosmic Perspective
The perspective this is coming from is not a religious perspective, but more of a core cosmic perspective.
God is not a figure above but an essence that runs through everything.
In The Golden Lake by Lyssa Holt, it’s explained as living in God’s Golden lake, he is the lake, in which all creation resides. Planets, Energy, Stars, Species, Future Past, Present, loved ones and those we grieve are not separate from this Source but simply swimming within it.
On the quantum level, your consciousness itself is like water, like God’s lake.
Take the example of an aquarium: It is filled with water and has the fish inside. The water is the quantum nature and within the water we have fish, tank decorations, filter, sand, plants, ect. They seem separate but they are all within the water. It is not separate or out of the water but all within it.

That is how we are within God. We are not outside of the tank. You are within the tank and everything within the tank is a part of God. Do you see how it can not be sold from this perspective that we are within God? It can not be sold outside of itself into something else when everything is within God.
We are immersed in it. We are it.
Curses: Control Through Belief
Curses have existed for millennia — tools of fear, control and domination, yes, but also a reflection of an individual’s belief. Belief systems can be powerful in wonderful ways but belief can also be deadly. The truth is curses only “work” if the person receiving it actually believes it. Belief is a powerful tool that molds the mind and shapes reality.
There are real stories of people falling ill or even death occurring simply because they believed they were cursed.
In 1942, Walter Cannon studied and discussed what he called “Voodoo Death”, also known as psychogenic death and pschomastic death.

Walter Cannon documented people dying purely from the belief that they were cursed. One man nearly died after a witch doctor “cursed” him by pointing a bone. The pointing bone was known to be a sign of death in their culture. He grew gravely ill almsot to the point of death. When told by outsiders that the curse was fake, he recovered instantly.

Another case that was studied was the Curse of The Maori Tapu. A woman died after unknowingly eating a fruit from a forbidden tapu (known as Taboo) place. She believed if she ate a fruit out of her culture from Tapu that she would die. 24 hours later after eating the fruit she died even though others did not die from eating it. Her death, doctors believed, stemmed entirely from her belief.
Even the evil eye, a belief in supernatural misfortune, still causes real stress, illness, and fear across cultures. Many cultures even blame their livestock misfortune to this phenomenon.
The truth is: a curse only “works” if the receiver believes it does.
Becoming Supernatural: Belief as a Healer
If belief can make you sick…
Then belief can also make you whole.
In Becoming Supernatural, Dr. Joe Dispenza shares his studies on how the brain, heart, and belief system can shift our biology, energy and reality.

Dr. Joe Dispenza held many clinical trials to document on. He shares the story of Anna, a woman with a chronic illness. She began visualizing herself already healed. Meditating daily, she reprogrammed her brain and body by stepping into the version of herself that was vibrant and free. Her brain couldn’t tell the difference between imagination and reality and so it responded as if healing was real. She became more conscious of her health, thought process, actions and beliefs. Months later, the illness disappeared.
The brain is an alchemist. Thought becomes chemistry.
Fear becomes poison.
Faith becomes miracles.
Whether it’s a curse… or a cure…
Reality follows belief.
Reclaiming Your Inner Power
You are not cursed.
You are not owned.
And your soul is not something to be bought, borrowed, or broken.
The illusion of contracts, deals, and external control is just that — an illusion. The only real danger is forgetting your own divinity.
So if you feel cursed…
Look within.
Examine your thoughts.
Challenge the origin of your beliefs.
You are a spark of the eternal.
A drop in the Golden Lake.
And nothing — no system, no spell, no contract — can take that from you.
Because you are the lake.
